Standard Terms & Conditions
Places are limited on all Business Edge learning solutions. A place is reserved once an online/fax/verbal booking is received however a place is only confirmed once Payment has been received. An acknowledgement of an order will be sent upon receipt of a booking.
Bookings
Public Training Fees
All public course fees are payable in full upon receipt of an online/fax/verbal booking and is payable in advance of a course start in order to confirm the Reservation, unless otherwise agreed in writing. For self study online courses, payment in full is required before login instructions are issued, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Where Business Edge issues a Delegate with login instructions for a self study online course (typically where a PO has been supplied) and the Delegate does not complete the self study online course for whatever reason (unless it is agreed by both parties Business Edge is at fault in some way) the Delegate and/or organization shall forfeit the full training fee in line with Business Edge standard terms and conditions.
In house/Tailored Training Fees
It is Business Edge policy to issue a proposal for all in house and/or tailored course requests. Where a proposal for an in house or tailored course has been accepted in writing by a client 50% of the course fee is liable upon acceptance of the proposal and the remaining 50% on the last day of the course.
Business Edge will endeavour to meet the clients preferred course delivery dates. Once dates for the training have been agreed between Business Edge and a client, the dates become firm and are not changeable unless by mutual consent. Requests to change the delivery dates for an in house and/or tailored course delivery within the 30 day period will be reviewed on a case by case basis, having given due consideration to Trainer schedules, the notice period given etc. Where Business Edge incurs costs as a result of a change in delivery dates requested by a client, Business Edge shall notify the client of the costs incurred and seek client approval, prior to agreeing to the change request. Business Edge reserves the right not to accept the client change request, in the event client authorization for the additional costs are not acceptable to the client. In all such cases, the original course delivery dates shall be binding on both parties.
Late Payment
Business Edge reserves the right to charge a late payment fee in the event training fees are not paid in line with Business Edge terms and conditions, unless otherwise agree by both parties. The late payment fee due will be calculated in compliance with the late payments in commercial transactions Regulations 2002.
Method of Payment
The preferred method of payment is electronic funds transfer. Please contact Business Edge Finance for our bank details.
Payments by electronic funds transfer may be subject to bank charges.
When using the electronic funds transfer payment method, please ensure the fee submitted is net of charges.
Payments by cheque can only be processed in the Republic of Ireland. Cheque's should be made payable to Business Edge Limited.
Multiple Bookings Discount
It is Business Edge policy to offer our learning solutions at competitive prices. If there are more than 2 people from the same organization attending the same course please contact Business Edge or a Business Edge partner for a quotation and a discount may be applied.
Student Substitutions
A substitute person may attend a class in place of an original Student. There will be no charge if a substitute person wishes to replace the original Student, subject to the substitute Student details being provided to Business Edge a minimum of 5 working days in advance of a class start date. Business Edge reserves the right not to allow a substitute Student on a class where prior knowledge is required and where the substitute Student has not satisfactorily met any prior knowledge requirements.
Student Transfers
A Student may transfer to another class at no additional cost provided a minimum of 14 days notice has been provided to Business Edge in writing. All transfer requests less than 14 days will be considered on a case by case basis. However where the transfer request affects the class, Business Edge reserves the right to deny the request and the Student will forfeit the training fee. This policy does not affect the organization and/or Student's right to nominate a substitute person to attend the class provided they satisfy the prior knowledge requirements for the course.
Cancellation
For cancellation the following charges apply:
- Individual Learners canceling with 30 days or more notice will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations within 15-29 days of the published class start date will receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations within 1-14 days of the published class start date will forfeit the full training fee.
- Individual learner's that fail to show for a course are not eligible for refunds or substitutions.
Postponement
The public schedule is subject to change without notice. In the event of cancellation, Business Edge will contact you to either reschedule your class or offer you a refund.
Catering
Each course includes refreshments only. Delegates must source their own Lunch.
Accommodation & Travel
Attendees are responsible for arrangements for their own travel.
